Artificial Christmas trees aren’t for everyone, but they do simplify things because they don’t need any upkeep after they’re set up. There is no need to go down on all fours to pick up needles, and there is also no need to keep track of when to water. You want to put your best false foot forward, but it’s impossible to tell from the packaging, and there are many options to choose. Here are some things to think about while shopping for an artificial Christmas tree.
It’s all about the size
Although it’s simple to ignore, be sure you know your own sizes. You should measure the available space for your fake tree before shopping for one. Think about the space’s height, breadth, and the amount of walking about it will need. A good quality artificial tree should survive for around five years. Select a size that will allow you to stow it away for the bulk of the year. Allow between 5-6 inches of clearance if you would like the tree to reach the maximum height permitted by the ceiling.
Roots and twigs
In order to conceal the fact that your tree is artificial, you have two choices in terms of the durability of the branches. Branches that are permanently attached to the tree through hinges are of higher quality and last longer. A panicked hunt for a dislodged limb is unnecessary. Hooked branches are more finicky to assemble, and if even one goes missing, the tree’s aesthetics are ruined. Larger Christmas trees often use this hook pattern.
Materials
The number of needles at the very top of imitation Xmas trees is an extra consideration. Your Xmas tree will seem more authentic if it has a larger number of needles. If the decorated Christmas tree has less needles than advertised, you might well be able to view the pole through it. Polyethylene (PE) tips, rather than PVC ones, will trick your loved ones. The price will naturally rise for a genuine appearance.
However, there are some advantages to using PVC as well. In addition, the tint won’t fade from its prime window location and stay green throughout a long time. If an artificial appearance is desired, keep in mind that the interconnected limbs will offer the tree a more mechanical appearance. As with every purchase, you can see what you paid for. We think it’s a good idea to spend extra money on an artificial Christmas tree since it will endure for many years.
The stand of the tree
If you can swing it, go with a wooden stand and pole instead of plastic. A tree reinforced with aluminum at its center will last longer and be less likely to break. It’s important to keep in mind that you want your purchase to endure for a long time. The structure may not be securely fastened to the tree; in that case, you would want to look into another solution. The overall stability, strength, and manageability of tree stands that include integrated stands may be increased. The perfect stand would serve its purpose without ever leaning over one direction or suddenly collapsing.
