HOW TO INSTALL THE FLAME

Before starting the installation:

Step-1: Frame the wall

Check the size of the wall opening in your installation manual. Usually, it is 1/4th larger than the firebox dimensions. Regular drywall and wooden studs are fine.

Step-2: Plugin

There is a cord that you have to plug into a standard electrical outlet that you can install inside the opening. Another option is removing the cord and hardwiring the fireplace, as most units are hardwired ready. We recommend hiring a good electrician for both tasks.

Step-3: Secure the fireplace and attach it to the wall with screws

Drive mounting screws through the holes on the top and both sides of the unit into the wall studs.

Step-4:- Insert decorative media

The Dimplex Ignitexl linear electric fireplace XLF comes with decorative logs or fire glass of decorative media which gets placed in the fireplace after it is installed into a wall and can be switched anytime after installation.

Step-5: Install the front glass panel

This is the last and final step. Install the front glass panel to give your fireplace a stunning look.

GAS VS.ELECTRIC WHICH FIREPLACES ARE GOOD FOR YOUR HOME?

Gas fireplaces are generally costlier, more expensive, and more difficult to install than their electric counterparts. Suppose you want to install a gas fireplace at your home, and you don’t have a natural gas line. In that case, you will need to install one gas line for using gas fireplaces, while the case of electric fireplaces requires standard electrical outlets, but you need a dedicated circuit for that. It might take a 110- 220 volt outlet depending on the fireplace.

Gas fireplaces have more requirements for placement inside the home, such as exhaust, usually against an exterior wall or inserted into an existing masonry fireplace. However, you have to hire a plumber to run the gas line. While in electric fireplaces, the installation depends on the size and style of your home. You can install on your own as you have to just plugin, and you are done.

How are electric fireplaces environmentally friendly?
